The Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA) has welcomed its first female President. Elaine Lancaster of Groupe Atlantic UK Division takes over as the new president with Helen Bray of Scotia Gas Networks becoming vice-president.
Mike Foster, chief executive of the Energy and Utilities Alliance, said: “I would firstly like to thank our outgoing president, Andrew Keating, for all his hard work, dedication and commitment over the last twelve months, his enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge has been at the heart of many of our successes this past year.”
He added: “We are so pleased to have two very talented women from within the industry at the helm of EUA, marking a shift in a sector that has, traditionally, lacked diversity.”
“We look forward to working with Elaine in her new role, after serving as Vice President for the past 12 months and I am delighted to welcome Helen into the EUA team. Together they provide a fresh perspective and valuable industry experience. The future of the energy industry will benefit greatly from their expertise and passion.”
