Drayton has launched its Wiser Home Heating Guide, to help consumers have a better understanding of their energy use. Over 70% of homeowners believe they’re wasting money on energy bills due to not fully understanding their heating, according to a new survey from Drayton.
This guide includes information on the benefits of low-flow temperatures, things to ask their heating engineer and top energy saving tips, as well as a look forward at what future heating systems might look like as we move towards becoming a net zero country, according to Drayton’s representatives.
The guide also looks at how upgrading heating controls can make a significant impact on energy savings. For example, swapping from a basic thermostat to a smart multi-zone heating control with smart modes can help homeowners save up to £575 per year on their energy bills, leaders of the business have said.
Remi Volpe, managing director at Drayton, said: “With our survey finding that 62% of homeowners have tried and failed to personalise their heating system to suit their household needs, it’s clear that there are huge opportunities for heating engineers to be upgrading their customers to easier-to-use heating controls. For example, with Wiser, homeowners can turn their heating on and off, manage schedules, and boost their heating all via a few taps on the Wiser Home app.
“With so many homeowners concerned about the rising energy costs this winter, it was important for us to make them aware of their options and identify areas in their home that they can work with heating engineers to improve. We hope that as well as helping to benefit homeowners, this campaign will also help to benefit heating engineers by increasing sales leads and also provide them with a resource that they can use to help educate customers.”
