Baxi has announced the appointment of Nick Platt as its new commercial & marketing director for the UK & Ireland.
Formerly Haier’s business director for built-in & integrated appliances, he will play a key role in the company’s move toward decarbonised heat, a statement said.
He said: “My role isn’t about adding little bits of value here and there, but about stepping back and seeing where we need to implement large-scale change to ensure that our business remains agile in a changing industry sector. I really believe that we should be doing all we can to ensure every type of customer has all the resources they need to do their best work. This will help us to deploy our market-leading products, training and support where they are most needed.”
On emerging industry challenges, Nick added: “I’m impressed by how exciting, dynamic and vibrant the heating and hot water industry is. The entire sector is going through a huge change with the rise of renewables and low-carbon solutions.
“Baxi has been taking the lead when it comes to installer support and I want to ensure that we don’t rest on our laurels but double down. We are going to be focussing more on support for the industry as a whole while continuing to give all the assistance we can to installers. With new technologies, regulations, and government targets, everyone is going to be impacted by the evolving changes and Baxi will be on hand to offer support every step of the way.”
