Stelrad unveiled its new Electric Series of radiators during a launch event at Lord’s Cricket Ground earlier this month.
The Mexborough-based hydronic radiator giant explained to trade press how its 2019 flotation together with the acquisition of Italy-based DL Radiators last year had helped spearhead the move into electric radiators.
Stelrad head of marketing UK and Ireland, Chris Harvey, said in an update: “We want to be a one-stop shop in the market and electric is the bolt-on we need to achieve this objective.”
The Stelrad Electric range includes steel panel radiators, towel warmers and some other models to suit residential, RMI and commercial applications. It features dry, dry stone and fluid options – with the new products designed to bring in new business and compete with well-established electric heating brands, it was explained.
During a market update, Chris shared how decarbonisation of UK heating and lower temperature systems had already resulted in the average radiator size Stelrad sells expanding by 7%.
