The HIP Female Skills Competition 2024 Grand Final is to take place this week on Thursday 18 April, at Stephenson College in Coalville.
The competition began in January with Level 2 and 3 plumbing learners competing in three regional locations across the UK. The judges narrowed down the entries to six regional winners. This year, the finalists competing for the title of HIP Female Skills Competition are:

– Sophie Maguire, City College Norwich
– Maizie Williams, St Helen’s College
– Ciah Hooch Llewellyn Davies, Gower College Swansea
– Daisy Turner, Barking & Dagenham College
– Megan Emerson, New College Durham
Zoe Tanner, managing director at HIP, said: “This event is an essential stepping stone for empowering women, boosting their confidence to participate in mixed-gender competitions, and making significant contributions to the trade. We’re thrilled to see such widespread industry support.”
