Worcester Bosch has announced the launch of its CS5800i Hybrid Heat Pump.
The new product pairs the CS5800i Heat Pump with the CS5800i Hybrid Unit and was co-created with installers input. According to a company statement, it harnesses natural energy for everyday heating needs and can switch to a boiler for extra warmth during chilly spells or the colder months.
David Ford, director at F&P Plumbing & Heating, said: “The new CS5800i Hybrid Heat Pump brings a new form of innovation to the home heating market. The unique design allows the low loss header to be installed to the rear of the boiler and in an external wall, eliminating any space issues when installing. We feel that this makes the CS5800i Hybrid Heat Pump a more viable option than a heat pump for the UK market.”
Martyn Bridges, director of technical services at Worcester Bosch, added: “The way we heat our homes needs to be flexible if we are to reach our net zero targets. Heat pumps will certainly play a huge part in this, however many homeowners are put off by the disruption and cost retrofitting properties to accommodate the technology.
“This is where hybrid systems can make their mark. By combining a heat pump with a boiler homeowners will ultimately see less disruption and also won’t need to adapt to a new way of heating their homes. We hope the CS5800i helps homeowners across the UK make the shift to low-carbon home heating.”
