Daikin has announced a partnership with Kraken Flex to further the development of a more flexible and resilient energy system.
A company statement said the collaboration will promote better use of renewable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
By integrating Daikin’s heat pump technology with the Kraken Flex platform, Daikin customers will soon gain access to a range of advanced smart services, it noted, including Energy Optimisation and Demand Response.
Kraken Flex is a technology platform developed by Octopus Energy, which focuses on energy flexibility and aims to optimise the use of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as renewable energy sources, electric vehicles (EVs), battery storage systems, and other flexible energy assets.
Features of Kraken Flex include: Real-Time Monitoring and Control, Energy Optimisation, Demand Response, Integration with Renewable Energy, Support for Electric Vehicles, Grid Services and User Engagement.
