Platform Housing Group and Keepmoat Homes are working together to deliver 319 energy efficient homes as part of a bigger development on the former Boots site in Nottingham.
According to a statement, the homes at Trentside will be all electric, with air source heat pumps and solar electricity tech panels to generate energy, saving residents substantial monthly costs on running their homes.
The site is part of a larger development, Beeston Canalside, which will be made up of more than 600 homes in total.
Work is now underway, with an anticipated completion date of 2029 for the entire regeneration project. The statement added that 30 of Platform’s homes are being delivered for Nottingham City Council with 93 allocated for affordable rent and 226 for shared ownership.
Elizabeth Froude, chief executive officer at Platform Housing Group, said: “We are absolutely passionate about this landmark development on a very special site that will bring high quality new homes and significant investment to the city of Nottingham and I would like to thank all those who have got us to this stage; it demonstrates partnership working at its very best.
“For our future customers it really will be all about place, creating a fantastic community, as well as offering them the very best in energy reducing initiatives. We’re proud to stand alongside our partners and remain committed to delivering new homes for the people of Nottingham and the surrounding area.”
