Panasonic has announced the appointment of John Kellett as the UK and Ireland’s new country manager for the heating and cooling division.
John has worked in the industry since 1998. He started out as an apprentice engineer and worked his way up in the cooling sector. According to a statement, he set up the heating division for Mitsubishi Electric BV and progressed to being the company’s general manager.
John said: “I am pleased to be joining the Panasonic UK and Ireland teams. The strength of the Panasonic distributor network, combined with the innovative renewable technologies being launched by Panasonic, positions the company well for growth.
“Panasonic has always had a strong focus on R&D. This is evident in the advancements made in the commercial refrigeration CO2 range. The latest developments in the R290 ECOi-W AQUA-G BLUE commercial range also reflect this commitment. Additionally, Panasonic recently launched the highly efficient Aquarea M series air source heat pumps, which also utilises R290 refrigerant for both domestic and commercial applications. The business has plenty to offer the market, and I look forward to working with the team towards a bright future together.”
Jose Alves, the current regional director for the UK, Ireland and Netherlands is moving to a new European role within Panasonic in Germany.
Jose added: “I have enjoyed my time working with the UK and Irish teams over the past four years and helping to develop the team and business with the UK and Ireland. I wish John and the team well for what is looking like a positive future for Panasonic in the UK and Ireland.”
