
Panasonic received a double award win in the HPM Awards 2025.
The company won the prize for the Most Innovative Product with the Panasonic Aquarea R290 L Series Air-to-water heat pump range, and for the Energy Saving Project category with a social housing project with Together Housing Group, distributors Graham’s and installers Concept Heating.
This year’s winners were announced on 14 February and celebrated the finest individual talent and industry innovations from across the UK heating and plumbing sector.
John Kellett, UK country manager for Panasonic UK and Ireland, said: “We are pleased to see that once again our hard work to deliver sustainable heating solutions to social housing has been recognised. Our projects are a critical part of exhibiting the high efficiency of our products, so it’s great to see both being recognised at this year’s awards.”
Panasonic said its Aquarea L Series Air-to-water heat pump units exhibit excellence in sustainable HVAC technology, using the more natural refrigerant R290, which has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) 3.
The units offer a quick and easy-to-install system, it added, delivering water outlet temperatures of 75°C down to -10°C. It also has the option of an All-in-One compact indoor unit with a footprint of 598 x 600mm that houses the DHW tank.
According to a statement, Panasonic’s social housing project with Together Housing to deliver sustainable heating solutions to over 1,200 properties across the North of England as part of its “Go Green Together” agenda.
By the end of 2024 the collaboration enabled over 700 homes to transition from gas boilers to renewable solutions using the Panasonic J Series Aquarea Monobloc air-to-water heat pumps, it noted, with more to follow. Panasonic provided 5, 7 and 9 kW units for retrofitting in 1 to 3-bedroom properties in Yorkshire and Lancashire using the Panasonic J Series Aquarea Monobloc air-to-water heat pumps, distributed by Graham’s and installed by Concept Heating.

Our collaborative efforts to implement and educate residents with efficient heating systems has been awarded by the four expert judges, and we are delighted by the recognition of our hard efforts. Our partnership with Panasonic has been built on shared values to implement more sustainable heating practices across the UK, and we hope the North of England project was only the start of our strengthening partnership.”
