Methven has updated its Water Saving Calculator in response to increasing water bills.
According to a statement, average water bills in England and Wales are set to increase by £123 a year as of 1 April, with the average annual bill expected to reach £603.
Methven launched its interactive Water Saving Calculator in 2022 in response to increases in the cost of living and energy. The company said its calculator offers insights to consumers on potential savings they could make, as well as being a tool for merchants, installers and specifiers to highlight suitable products to customers.
Emma Foster, head of marketing and product at Methven, said: “We believe the best way to combat increasing water bills is through knowledge and information.
“The shower market offers a wide range of affordable products that can have a huge accumulative impact on reducing energy and water usage, without compromising performance.
“The calculator contains information on Methven products which fit this description, alongside data and calculations that can be tailored to your particular scenario in order to give accurate and realistic insight into potential savings.
“It was important for us to see the latest increases as a line in the sand and update the calculator to reflect this, in order to ensure it remains relevant and suitable for the task at hand.”
Since its launch, Methven has also updated the calculator specifically to meet the requirements of developers and hotels, alongside the more general user-friendly version.
