In the zone at Ecobuild

ecobuildEcobuild 2015 is just around the corner and, with renewables becoming mainstream, now is the time for installers to get in the zone and visit the event. The energy event is coming back to London’s ExCeL on March 3-5.

The Energy Zone now accounts for 50% of the show floor and attracts over 18,000 heating, plumbing and renewables professionals. Within the Energy Zone, interactive and educational features will run throughout the duration of the event for installers looking to get ahead of the game or transition into renewables.

The features

More than exhibits, these features are interactive and combine guest speakers and industry advice with showcases of the latest sustainable technologies.

One of the best places to start is the hugely popular Practical Installer. In a ‘business clinic’ style, Plumb Center’s experts will help put profit in the pockets of every installer, whether just setting up, surviving or thriving in the renewables market. Acting as the business hub for Ecobuild’s Energy Section, this feature will focus on the biomass and heat pump markets. From ‘quick wins’ to full solution installations, Plumb Center’s renewables experts will deliver tailored business advice to all installers – whether they are a seasoned Microgeneration Certification Scheme -accredited installer, or gas installers keen to break into the green energy market.

There will also be a comprehensive daily installer-based programme of seminars and demonstrations in the Practical Installer live arena where installers can learn how to save their customers money on energy bills, how to use apps to make their job easier and how to make the most of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

The Green Energy zone will equip energy professionals with the most up-to-date expertise spanning the green energy sector. Covering the specification and delivery of low and zero carbon energy technologies to homes and other buildings, Green Energy will also look at energy supply at the community level. Hot topics to be covered include determining the most cost effective technology for specific applications, meeting regulations, leveraging the Feed in Tariff and RHI. This zone will examine the different energy technologies and how to specify them and the latest technical developments, including energy storage.

And, in the Solar City zone, in association with SMA Solar, installers can see seminars and practical demonstrations covering all aspects of the solar PV market in the UK. Visitors will be able to listen to live debates and practical case studies from industry experts on how to leverage live government incentives such as the domestic RHI.

These features, along with the others that are on offer, will provide installers with great insight, innovative solutions and practical advice for use in the forthcoming year.

Seminar and Conference Programmes

Installers might also want to check out the seminar and conference programme. Each seminar concentrates on delivering practical and applied information, and is structured to provide key learning points, supported by case studies, analysis, and examples of best practice. And, in the conferences, industry leaders will be speaking about the latest developments in renewables and sustainable construction. Visit ecobuild.co.uk for more information on the seminar and conference programme.
