John Nicholls (Holdings) Ltd has acquired J&B’s plumbing supplies for an undisclosed sum.
J&B’s operate out of four branches in Wimbourne, Poole, Upton and Bournemouth with a turnover of £7 million. This acquisition will see the combined turnover for the new business reach £40 million.
Andrew Nicholls, CEO of John Nicholls (Holdings) Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have purchased J&B’s and look forward to working it to help continue its expansion. The combined expertise of the two businesses will see a progressive and dynamic company and is fitting as we reach our 50th year of trading with exciting times ahead.
“We are also working within our core business on two new branch openings which will see further expansion in the midlands next year.”
Graham Bell, director of J&B’s, will be staying on within the new business to help drive it forward.
He said: “It was important for J&B’s to find a likeminded progressive business to acquire us and we are delighted that we have been able to secure the deal with John Nicholls and have its reputation and expertise behind us to take us to the next level.”
The acquisition brings the total of trading outlets to 13 with two more scheduled for 2015.
