Question from Stephen Mead, via email:
I’ve got a Baxi 80e boiler and the problem I have is that my hot water is not coming out at the right temperature. An engineer told me that it could be the diverter valve so I changed it and of course the problem is still there. Could this be something simple like the switch that connects onto the diverter valve or a sensor of some sort?
Answer from Baxi:
It sounds like a Gas Safe engineer needs to be called in to check that the burner pressure is set in accordance with the manual (a copy of which is available free of charge by calling 0844 335 8821). Alternatively, the plate heat exchanger might need a clean to remove scale, debris or sludge, and we’d recommend checking the sensor resistance readings. Our engineer helpline (0844 335 8428) is open from 8am until 6pm if your engineer needs further assistance.
