The Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) is hosting APHCLIVE2015 in October 2015 bringing together City & Guilds, Baxi and Worcester Bosch in a series of five free events across England and Wales.
The events offer plumbing and heating engineers the opportunity to hear first hand about legislative or technical matters straight from the industry experts covering the following topics:
Seminar Topic One (Baxi and Worcester Bosch): ErP – What you need to know
The Energy related Products (ErP) Directive was put in place to help the EU achieve its 20-20 target to lower emissions by 20% and increase the share of renewable energies by 20% by 2020. Boilers and heating systems will be labelled in the same way that white goods like fridges and freezers are, with the aim of improving efficiency.
From September 26, 2015, the ErP directive will affect most heating and hot water products with an output
Seminar Topic Two (APHC): Developing the Plumbing Industry’s Future Talent, the New Plumbing and Heating Apprenticeship.
Seminar Topic Three (City & Guilds): Supporting the development of apprentices, operatives and employers, the City & Guilds solution to achieving competence.
October seminar and mini exhibition programme
The October seminar and mini exhibition programme incorporates the three seminar topics, but also allows plumbing and heating engineers the opportunity to network their way around a mini exhibition of APHC supplier members who will be presenting their latest products/services.
