Ecobuild is coming back to London’s ExCeL on March 3-5, and it is the perfect place for installers to boost their knowledge about the latest renewables products and technologies.
With over 800 exhibitors, hundreds of conference and seminar sessions, and 600+ expert speakers, plus dozens of interactive and educational features, Ecobuild 2015 is an event for installers looking to get ahead of the game or transition into renewables.
Seminar and conference programmes
For installers wanting to broaden their knowledge the first thing to check out is the extensive seminar programme. All the free seminars are continuing professional development accredited and cover the most important and pressing issues for built environment professionals. Each seminar concentrates on delivering practical and applied information, and is structured to provide key learning points, supported by case studies, analysis, and examples of best practice.
It is impossible to go to every seminar so it’s important to prioritise the ones that are relevant to you. For installers, the Green Energy seminar programme is the best place to start. Popping along to ‘Benefitting from the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive’ and ‘Integrating systems to maximise energy efficiencies’ will provide valuable insight into the latest technologies and ideas, and could give you an edge on your competition.
This year’s conference sessions will have industry leaders speaking about the latest developments in renewables and sustainable construction. And, with an election in May, Ecobuild will be asking the main political parties how they intend to deliver the low carbon energy infrastructure we need and whether a long term national resilience plan is the best way to manage the risks from a changing climate.
Features
If seminars, lectures and the occasional celebrity aren’t your thing, don’t worry there’s still plenty going on. Unlike regular exhibits at Ecobuild 2015, the features are interactive and combine expert advice and guest speakers with practical demonstrations of the latest technologies. Features include Practical Installer, where Plumb Center’s renewables experts will deliver tailored business advice and the latest innovations to all installers, Nature and the Built Environment which brings together a number of features to educate and inspire visitors about biodiversity and The Innovation Showcase, Ecobuild’s first ever dedicated area to showcase a selection of Ecobuild exhibitors’ new products.
Planning your visit
With so much on offer it’s easy to get distracted so thankfully there’s a huge list on the Ecobuild website telling you exactly what’s on, where and at what time. The seminar and conference programme runs on a first come, first served basis so be sure to get there early.
