2015 sees the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) and City & Guilds hosting a series of free employer engagement seminars in England and Wales, enabling employer to keep updated on legislative or technical matters relating to the plumbing industry.
These morning seminars will all run from 8:30am-12:00pm and offer face-to-face contact with employers, aiming to ensure that the needs of businesses are being met and that your company continues to operate profitably.
APHC’s technical manager, Graeme Dryden, opens up the first session on ‘Challenging the competence and re-assessment requirements in industry’ by looking at some of the thinking around the area of assessment in discrete work areas such as water regulations or vented/unvented hot water systems, as well as considering how we measure re-assessment and the five year requirement.
The City & Guilds plumbing and qualifications team will then open up discussion on a range of education and training matters that affect the plumbing and heating industry, including new apprenticeships and plumbing and heating qualifications available for 2015.
