I am a regular reader of HPM I have been reading the editor’s article about plumbers’ knees.
I served a plumbing apprenticeship in 1954–1959, I also spent time in the Navy and the Army, and I have been hands on various sites for almost 60 years, 37 of these being self- employed.
Knee pads are very seldom used, but on December 20, 2018, I was under a customer’s house (crawling) connecting waste pipes, I used knee pads, otherwise I do not use them.
So far there is nothing wrong with my knees. In February 2019, I will reach the tender age of 81 years.
I must be one of the small percentages who do not suffer knee problems.
