As an engineer, I decided on an air source heat pump to heat my home, however as a ‘legacy’ applicant I missed the cut off period to apply for the Renewable Heat Incentive as I hadn’t kept an eye on the web regularly to see what was happening – a complete joke in my eyes. I think I missed the cut off date by two weeks when I contacted OFGEM, it said there was nothing I could do. I was going to send an email complaining, but they said I would be wasting my time.
Could people not be contacted by email or post, as the Microgeneration Certification Scheme must have a list of where these systems have been installed?
Personally, I think the advertising and publicity could have a lot to do with it. There still isn’t enough focus on renewables in the media.
