Altecnic has been awarded a four-year agreement by L&Q housing association to supply Heat Interface Units (HIUs) for new build and retro-fit properties.
The agreement means the firm will be a preferred HIU supplier to the charitable housing association, which currently houses around 250,000 people in more than 95,000 homes mainly across London and the South East.
Altecnic was chosen as preferred supplier due to the technical features of its award-winning SATK32 range of HIUs, which offer return temperature limitation, configurable hot water pre-heat and settable maximum primary flow rate, a company statement said.
Paul Longman, Altecnic’s specification divisional manager, UK & Ireland, said: “The SATK32 and SATK22 (indirect and direct) range of HIU’s have a number of advanced features that will help improve upon the efficiency and maintenance of heat networks and will be of benefit to clients be they developers, housing associations or local authorities, consultants and contractors.
“We have spent lots on R&D to ensure the maximum efficiency of our units and we’re delighted that L&Q has asked us to supply HIUs on new build projects as well as retro-fit its existing properties.”
