ATAG is to launch a 14-year warranty deal on its range of domestic boilers.
The direct to installer distribution model has seen a surge in online sales during lockdown as engineers cut out the risks of visiting a merchant to buy equipment, the company said.
ATAG scientists in the Netherlands have identified that by ensuring only high-end filters and water treatment packs are used in the installation of the boiler, the life of its boilers can be greatly extended.
The new 14-year warranty includes parts and labour when annual servicing is completed by an ATAG Service Provider (ASP), Gas Safe engineer trained by ATAG.
An ATAG boiler has a 10-year warranty as standard. The additional packages are as follows:
ATAG boiler + Adey Atom Filter = 11 year warranty
ATAG boiler + Adey Atom Filter + Water Treatment Pack (WTP) = 12 year warranty
ATAG boiler + Adey Atom Filter + Water Treatment Pack + One Zone controller = 14 year warranty
ATAG sales director David Stolton said: “Our new 14-year warranty means that the homeowners can take confidence in knowing their boiler is built to last and our ASPs benefit from an even longer relationship with customers, giving them an increased sales platform.
“Our direct supply model also provides valuable reassurance in these uncertain times, product is shipped direct to their customer front doors providing installers a streamlined solution, reassuring customers and engineers who have safety concerns about visiting merchants or product contamination.
“And because a customer will never be able to buy the product direct, engineers are able to put together a quote where margins are protected.”
