The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) won three prizes at the Association Excellence Awards 2024.

The building materials trade body won the Best Member Engagement Award and the Silver Award for Best Membership Support. John Newcomb, BMF’s CEO, received the Bronze Association Leadership Award for organisations with up to 2,000 members.

A statement said that BMF was commended for its work to champion and facilitate the progression of industry initiatives in sustainability, training and development, digital transformation and diversity and inclusivity in recruitment. It added that BMF was also recognised for other elements of its support for members, including market insights, political representation and influence, and through networking and events.

John said: “We are honoured and delighted to see the BMF’s work on behalf of our members independently recognised in this way. To be honoured in three Association of Excellence Award categories in a single year is an incredible achievement, and a fantastic tribute to the professionalism of the whole BMF team.

“We will continue to develop the policies and programmes that helped us achieve recognition in the Association Excellence Awards to support our members with services that help them to succeed in their markets.”
