Bosch Commercial & Industrial has unveiled the Uni Condens 8000 F, a CE-certified hydrogen boiler for non-domestic use.
The company said that the product has been designed to simplify hydrogen adoption by helping early-stage projects, whilst being flexible for the current market and fuel options to make heating system choice easy and reliable.
The boiler was made in collaboration with Dunphy Combustion, Bosch Commercial & Industrial. According to a company statement, the Uni Condens 8000 F’s dual-fuel capability allows users to switch seamlessly between hydrogen and natural gas, ensuring uninterrupted heating and project continuity.
The boiler’s two separate gas trains are combined into a single burner head to allow for easy fuel switching via a simple switch or Building Management System control, it noted, eliminating the need for onsite re-commissioning and giving project managers peace of mind with a reliable and efficient heat supply.
Pete Mills, commercial technical operations manager at Bosch Commercial & Industrial, said: “Our goal is to take the worry out of choosing the right heating solution for hydrogen projects. With our 100% hydrogen boiler, teams can focus on other aspects of their project, knowing their heat source is covered.
“With many years of hydrogen experience and a track record of support in pioneering projects, we at Bosch Commercial & Industrial are dedicated to ensuring a smooth integration and are very proud to announce the release of the Uni Condens 8000 F. We see this as a significant step in the UK heating industry.”
