Gav Murray, Hive heating director at Centrica New Business Net Zero, has commented on the Boiler Upgrade Scheme’s (BUS) figures for November.
The November data shows a slight drop on October’s record month, making it the third highest since the scheme began.
Gav said: “Despite a slight drop in applications in November, 2024 has been a record-breaking year for heat pump technology adoption in the UK, indicating that more people than ever are wanting to switch to cleaner, more sustainable energy.
“Confirmation of additional funding for the scheme has continued to encourage homeowners. The challenge for the industry as we head into next year will be to ensure that the right support, whether that be grants or incentives, is in place to enable even more people to unlock the cost-saving and environmental benefits.”
