The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has announced ELCO Heating Solutions, Hamworthy Heating and Swegon as gold sponsors for this year’s Technical Symposium. The event is to take place at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow on 20 and 21 April.

The 2023 Technical Symposium, supported by ASHRAE, is set to present a range of peer reviewed papers and presentations outlining the latest developments in practice, technology and policy and showcase the latest guidance for building services engineers. It is expected to provide practitioners with up to date information about the latest developments in meeting the net zero carbon imperatives and also on the latest building safety related reforms in the UK industry, according to a statement.

Anthony Byrne, ELCO’s marketing manager, said: “ELCO Heating Solutions is proud, to once again be supporting the CIBSE Technical Symposium, this year as a Gold Sponsor. CIBSE is known for planning and hosting high-quality events throughout the year and the Technical Symposium is no exception.

“We can’t wait to meet everyone in Glasgow and attend as many of the presentations as we can. This year’s theme of delivering sustainable, safe and healthy buildings for a net zero future is close to our heart. We’re constantly looking at ways to improve our products and work more closely with our customers by providing more sustainable heating solutions.”

Ian Roe, director and general manager at Hamworthy Heating, said: “Hamworthy has been a long-term member of the CIBSE Patrons programme and as a trusted expert in heating and hot water is keen to be involved in such opportunities to exchange knowledge, technical insights and share experiences on industry best practises.”

Swegon representatives stated: “With Swegon’s solutions having a direct and indirect impact on the people and the environment around us, we are proud to be sponsoring CIBSE’s Technical Symposium and contributing to the conversations on how as an industry, we can deliver sustainable, safe and healthy buildings, whilst working towards a net zero future so people can feel good inside, today and tomorrow.”

CIBSE have also announced that Masons UK will be sponsoring the drinks reception, taking place on 20 April at Glasgow City Hall.
