According to City Plumbing, the ASHP Installation Course delivers the knowledge, skills and competency required to design, specify, install, commission and maintain domestic and small commercial ASHP. During the course, installers will receive practical training practising on purpose-built live ASHP rigs. On completion of the course, installers will achieve an LCL Awards Level 3 Certificate, which is recognised by the MCS. The three-day course costs £160 + VAT due to £500 funding from the BEIS Home Decarbonisation Skills Training Competition.
Hemal Morjaria, managing director of City Plumbing’s Renewables and Electrical division, said: “Heat pump demand has soared in 2024, and it’s clear this is just the beginning. For heating engineers, there’s a unique chance to adapt to the market and secure long-term business growth.
“That said, we know that finding the time and resources for training can be tough, particularly for self-employed professionals. To help, the courses are taking place across England and are subsided to make them more affordable and within reach for everyone.”
