Daikin has revamped its Birmingham training academy to feature a host of new heat pump resources.
During a launch event this month, visitors were guided through improvements to the reception area, classrooms, live streaming room and practical training area, complete with fully installed hybrid heat pumps systems, boilers and monobloc heat pump models.
Located at Birmingham Business Park, the redeveloped training academy will be focused on the training of engineers for residential green heating solutions.
Henk van den Berg, strategic business manager of heating and renewables at Daikin UK, stressed that the biggest challenge for ‘UK Plc’ was to train up enough installers to meet the ambitious heat pump targets.
“We believe that the installer element is the key part of all this,” he said. “We are excited about the future and there are enough green shoots to believe that now is the time the transition to heat pumps will happen.”
