Daikin has opened 12 Sustainable Home Centres this year, taking the total to 43 across the country.
According to a company statement, each centre provides vital knowledge and access to heat pump technologies, as well as a venue to train low-carbon heating engineers.
In recent months, five new Sustainable Home Centres have opened across England in partnership with Active Plumbing in Calne, Harris & Bailey in Croydon, MKM Building Supplies in Grimsby, Pochin Heating & Plumbing Supplies in Newark and James Hargreaves in Swinton.
The company said that the new openings will help to support and create hundreds of jobs, providing a space for engineers and installers to gain the necessary skills to meet the government’s plans for 600,000 heat pumps to be installed per year by 2028.
Karen Perry, head of Daikin’s Sustainable Home Centre Network, said: “The centres will serve both local customers and installers, offering a space to deepen their understanding of Daikin’s innovative solutions as the UK moves towards sustainable heating technologies. They play a vital role in fostering consumer awareness of low-carbon alternatives, while delivering green skills training to local installers, supporting the shift to a more sustainable future.
“By providing hands-on experience of cutting-edge technologies, our Sustainable Home Centres empower individuals and businesses to make informed decisions that contribute to a greener future. Additionally, we are creating opportunities for local people to upskill. Together with our centres, we will train hundreds of installers this year, ensuring that they have the knowledge and expertise needed to meet the growing demand for sustainable heating solutions.
“Daikin’s rapid expansion of its Sustainable Home Centres signifies a strong commitment to leading the industry in low carbon heating and cooling.”
