EDF and Ideal Heating have announced a new offer which allows eligible customers to save £1,000 when purchasing an Ideal air source heat pump system.
The companies said the offer also includes at least £1,500 in additional savings with the Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff.
To be eligible for the £1,000 discount, new or existing customers will need to sign up to purchase an Ideal Heating heat pump before 24 November 2024. The discount is available to the first 100 eligible customers.
The Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff is available via EDF Heat Pumps. According a company statement, it offers customers a free seven year warranty, servicing and maintenance package worth £1,150, alongside ‘free electricity’ for the month of December 2025.
The three year tariff also offers six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity every day, all year round, saving at least £164 against Standard Variable prices, with the assurance of no exit fees or tie-ins.
Taking into account these discounts and the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Grant (or £9,000 for some rural areas in Scotland), a complete heat pump system that’s fully installed to suit each property’s individual requirements could start at £3,500, it said.
Philippe Commaret, managing director of customers at EDF, said: “We know that many households are eager to transition away from using gas as a fuel in their homes, but cost can be a significant barrier. That’s why, in partnership with Ideal Heating, we’re pleased to be launching a substantial discount on new heat pumps this autumn, making this greener option more affordable for customers.”
Mark Derbyshire, managing director (sales and marketing) at Ideal Heating, added: “We are delighted to partner with EDF. By integrating our high-quality heat pump technology with EDF’s extensive reach and resources, we aim to offer customers heating solutions that are both better for the environment and help customers save money. Plus, thanks to our comprehensive warranty packages, our heat pumps are backed up by guaranteed peace of mind.”
