EDF has announced that it is cutting the cost of air source heat pump installations by offering customers £500 off, on top of £1,500 off energy bills, service and maintenance.
The supplier has extended its Heat Pump and Power Tracker bundle, available via EDF Heat Pumps, which offers customers ‘free electricity’ for the month of December 2025 alongside a seven year warranty, servicing and maintenance package, worth at least £1,500.
For a limited time, EDF is offering a further £500 off all air source heat pump installations for the first 50 customers that sign up before 12 February 2025.
EDF said that the discount will mean a complete heat pump system, installed to suit each property’s individual requirements, starts from £4,680 when applying the Boiler Upgrade Scheme Grant. Finance options are also available to help customers spread the cost.
Philippe Commaret, managing director of customers at EDF, said: “We want to help as many homeowners as possible realise the benefits of switching to heat pumps, which can be three times more efficient than a gas boiler and cheaper to run. Unfortunately, many homeowners get put off by the notion that a heat pump won’t maintain a comfortable temperature when its cold outside. We’re so confident about our service that we’re offering a Heat Pump Promise, which guarantees a warm home or your money back.”
As part of its commitment to help the UK transition to low-carbon living, EDF Heat Pumps stated it is also promising that all heat pump installations will keep customers’ homes warm, following its recent accreditation as a Which? Trusted Trader.
Phil Amy, Which? commercial director, added: “We are delighted to welcome EDF Heat Pumps as a Which? Trusted Trader. Which? Trusted Traders is an endorsement scheme that recognises reputable local traders. Consumers who use the service to find skilled professionals can book with confidence, knowing those who receive our stamp of approval have passed a rigorous assessment process.”
