Fernox has announced its support for the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC) ‘Installers First’ initiative.
Its aim is to shape the future of government regulation and policy, which affects the plumbing and heating industry, by listening to the opinions of installers and ensuring common sense is applied. The professional community of Installers First provides Gas Safe registered engineers with a viable platform to voice real issues.
Installers First allows engineers to communicate not only with each other, but with the government, industry manufacturers, and other key stakeholders that influence the profession, by creating a community of UK-based Professional Accredited Heating installers. Integral to this will be championing the voice of the installer to ensure that their experience is considered when the government proposes regulation and policy updates.
Francine Wickham, global marketing director at Fernox, said: “The plumbing and heating industry is based upon the hard work and dedication of professional installers. By allowing engineers to air their views on training, legislation and safety regulations, Installers First will help the industry to evolve, improve and move forward as one.”
As the industry’s leading chemical water treatment and filter manufacturer, Fernox will support the initiative by encouraging its Installer Club members to register for Installers First, as well as promoting the latest community news through its social media channels and company newsletters.
Free to join, the Installers First community also acts as a single point of information for the latest sector developments, such as legislative and standard updates, along with current government consultations for proposed industry changes.
