As part of its ongoing support for construction charity Band of Builders, Resideo has helped raised just over £2,700 by organising a fundraising football match held at Ascot United.
The charity match saw Resideo take on Graham Plumbers’ Merchant in a fierce head-to-head which resulted in a 4-6 victory to Graham.
A silent auction and a raffle were also held on the night, with prizes donated by local businesses including an England shirt signed by Declan Rice and a 4-ball round of golf at a choice of venues.
The £2,700 raised from the football match was generated from ticket sales, the raffle, silent auction, and additional generous donations from attendees, and will help Band of Builders to continue their work to support tradespeople by delivering life enhancing projects.
Tony Steele, operations director at Band of Builders, said: “Band of Builders has been set up by tradespeople for tradespeople that are in difficult circumstances or have had life-changing injuries. With the help of our volunteers, we make adaptions to their houses and provide other types of support – all free of charge. Events like this are massively important in raising awareness of the charity, which helps us to recruit more volunteers to deliver more projects.”
Resideo first became involved with Band of Builders in 2021, as a headline sponsor of the charity’s Big Brew events. Aimed at raising awareness about the additional work Band of Builders does helping tradespeople with their mental health, the events were held at merchants across the UK.
