Gemserv has announced it will work alongside the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to deliver the Green Heat Networks Fund (GHNF).
Part of the Triple Point Heat Networks Investment Management group, Gemserv will play a key role in the delivery of a new £288 million grant funding programme, to enable the decarbonisation of new and existing heat networks.
The aim is to invigorate the transition to low carbon technologies including heat pumps, solar and geothermal sources and help homes and businesses across England to benefit from greener heating.
As part of the delivery team, Gemserv will be responsible for data processing and reporting, engaging stakeholders and ensuring a smooth application journey for public, private and third sector projects seeking to access funding support.
Gemserv was also appointed by BEIS as its Delivery Partner for the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme Demonstrator in October 2021, with GHNF marking the third heat network funding programme it will support.
James Higgins, partner at Gemserv, said: “Gemserv is delighted to be a part of the delivery partner group for the Green Heat Network Fund. The transformation of the UK’s heat network market is a key part of the transition to net zero and whilst it has been a pleasure to have played a part in the journey so far, we know the real work is only just beginning. We’re looking forward to inviting projects to apply for support.”
The scheme will open for applications on 14th March 2022 and is anticipated to run to 2025.
