Grant UK partners with Heat Pump Go

Heat Pump Go

Grant UK has partnered with the Heat Pump Go MCS Umbrella Scheme.

According to a statement, the partnership offers G1 installers who are not Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited themselves the option to provide its customers with an MCS certified Grant heat pump installation.

Heat Pump Go is an MCS Umbrella Scheme run by Abode Heat which helps installers to fulfil the requirements for achieving MCS certified installations.

The statement added that with demand for MCS certified installations increasing, as a result of consumers either seeking government funding through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme or simply specifying that their heat pump is installed to the standards set by MCS, installation companies are looking to meet this demand. Through its partnership with Heat Pump Go, Grant UK is providing its G1 installers with a pathway to MCS certified heat pump installations for this customer base.

Grant UK said it is working with Heat Pump Go to give G1 Installers access to this MCS Umbrella Scheme at a discounted rate. G1 Installers who fulfil the eligibility requirements will work with both Abode Heat and Grant UK to achieve MCS sign-off on their Grant heat pump installations, it noted.

Through the scheme, Abode Heat support installers with the design of an MCS compliant heat pump system and Grant UK support with one of its in-house Field Service Engineers completing the MCS compliance for commissioning and customer handover.

Neil Sawers, commercial technical manager at Grant UK, said: “This partnership delivers many advantages to our installers. It will not only allow G1 Installers to access additional business opportunities in the marketplace but it will also provide both installers and their customers with the peace of mind of an on-site customer handover with a member of Grant UK’s Field Service Engineers Team. Furthermore, G1 Installers can access this service at a discounted rate providing more value for money for their customers.”

Ben Hodges, business development director for Heat Pump Go, added: “Making the move to heat pumps as easy as possible for installers and homeowners is so important. This partnership is a significant step forward in removing the administrative burden of MCS compliance for many installers and homeowners.”
