This year marks the fourth time that Impey has sponsored the Women Installers Together (WIT) conference, which took place at London Metropolitan University on 4 July.
WIT is the annual industry event for female tradespeople and was established by Hattie Hasan MBE, plumber and owner of Stopcocks Group.
Women from across the UK and further afield gathered in London Metropolitan University’s Great Hall to connect with other tradeswomen, discussing relevant issues, meet peers, share, learn and listen to a variety of speakers, it noted.
Neil Whitehead, head of marketing at Impey, said: “We feel very proud to have attended the Women Installers Together Conference 2024. We have witnessed how the event has gone from strength to strength. Encouraging more women into the trades is vital. Offering our support to this event is hugely important to our business, to the bathroom industry as a whole and demonstrates our business-wide belief in equal opportunities. We were happy to be back supporting Hattie and her team this year.”
Steve Woolsey, business development manager at Impey, added: “WIT 2024 was a fabulous and inspiring day! Full of passion and we were very privileged that Impey can sponsor such a wonderful organisation and that WIT are in such great hands for the future.”
Shaun Hunt, technical and trade marketing manager at Impey, said: “The WIT event 2024 was energetic, vibrant and very focussed. The event was opened by Hattie Hasan MBE who compared the day along with guest speakers. The WIT team delivered an inspiring day of confidence building and professional comradery, which was hugely energising to this expanding group of installers of all ages.
“The day was based around sharing experiences and how to get over the daily challenges of the industry predominantly led by men and using the established community that the WIT events have created over the years for ongoing support.”
