Kooltech has announced the opening of a new branch in Bar Hill near Cambridge, creating several new jobs in the area.
The official opening of the new branch will take place on Monday 19 June. Visitors were to be given an opportunity to meet the new branch team and suppliers, benefit from one-off trade deals and a hog roast.
The brand new 3,115sq ft premises is to supply Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning and sustainable heat pumps, refrigeration equipment, and associated installation and service materials to specialist contractors in the area.
Ten new local jobs have been created at the Bar Hill premise, just off the M11 and A14, as part of a wider investment by Kooltech in East Anglia and the home counties north of London.
Jonathan Brown, Kooltech’s commercial director, added: “This new branch will stock air conditioning and refrigeration units as well as low carbon heating technologies. It’s part of our ongoing growth and continuing investment in sustainable heating and we’re pleased to grow our business in this wonderful part of the country.
“Non-domestic buildings account for around 22% of emissions from buildings and 4% of all UK greenhouse gas emissions. The UK, and the East Anglia region, cannot hit our collective net zero targets without sustainable commercial heating solutions and this facility has the potential to boost the rollout of commercial heat pumps in the area.”
