Mark Vitow celebrated ‘Great Place to Work Certification Nation Day’ this week, having been recently recognised as a Great Place to Work-Certified company and one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation 2024.
A statement said that the company earned its Great Place to Work-Certification based on anonymous feedback from employees, with 96% of the team rating it as a Great Place to Work. This feedback also contributed to Mark Vitow being named one of the best small to medium companies in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation, it noted.
Rachel Pead, director of people and operations, added: “At Mark Vitow, we foster a supportive, family-oriented environment where every employee’s voice is valued. Being recognised in this way makes us incredibly proud, proving that we’re not just a workplace, but a place to thrive.”
According to Mark Vitow, the company’s PositivePlumbing initiative empowers employees to spread positivity across the industry. It said that through team fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and company-matched payroll giving scheme, staff are actively involved in supporting important causes. Employees also have the opportunity to volunteer as mentors with the Early Careers Foundation.
Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work, added: “It’s important to honour all the work that goes into creating a Certified company. Certification Nation Day is a time to honour and celebrate what makes your company great. Come together, unite, and elevate your company culture as you celebrate your people, your culture, and your customers.”
