NIBE Energy Systems has announced a strategic partnership with British Gas.
According to a company statement, British Gas will become an approved NIBE service partner, providing an expanded and more responsive support network for customers and installers alike.
NIBE will play a pivotal role in equipping British Gas engineers with the necessary expertise to service and maintain NIBE heat pumps, it added. This initiative aligns with the government’s drive towards sustainable heating and the Warm Homes Promise.
For NIBE customers, the statement said this partnership translates into faster response times for callouts and servicing, broader geographical coverage and improved availability of spare parts for installers.
Paul Smith, managing director of NIBE Energy Systems UK, said: “As we continue to drive the transition to sustainable heating, ensuring robust service and support is crucial. This partnership with British Gas enables us to scale up our service capabilities while maintaining the high standards we are known for. By enhancing the skills of British Gas engineers, we are not only expanding our service reach but also strengthening the UK’s expertise in heat pump technology.”
Mark Berryman, managing director at British Gas Services, added: “We’re delighted to be partnering with NIBE, a leading name in the heat pump industry. This collaboration will allow us to provide even more homeowners with the reassurance of expert servicing and maintenance. As the UK moves towards net zero, partnerships like this are key to delivering a more sustainable and greener future.”
