On The Tools, the largest online construction community in the UK, has announced Band of Builders as its charity partner for 2022.
On The Tools has worked with the charity since its inception in 2016, and through the official partnership will support Band of Builders by raising awareness and driving volunteers through its 6 million strong community of tradespeople.
Lee Wilcox, CEO and co-founder of On The Tools, said: “I’m thrilled to formalise and shout about our partnership with Band of Builders. We’ve been involved with BoB for many years and we’re delighted to be able to support them in having such a positive impact on the industry. The charity is a natural fit for us because On The Tools champions UK tradespeople, and Band of Builders supports them when they are in need.
“The work that Band of Builders undertakes for tradespeople and their families is incredible; we’re excited to help drive even more awareness and support for the work they do so they can continue their mission of providing financial and emotional support to tradespeople in need.”
As part of the partnership, On The Tools have also pledged to donate 5% of all proceeds raised through the launch of its new NFT community to Band of Builders.
Gavin Crane, chair of the board of trustees for Band of Builders, said: “Our mission is to support tradespeople and their families when they’re in need, and we’re delighted to have the support of On The Tools as a charity partner to help us in funding further projects. We rely on tradespeople giving their time and energy to help others, and the content that On The Tools has provided for us has helped raise awareness of our cause to the trade community, as well as helping recruit support for projects.
“We’re also excited to benefit from new On The Tools initiatives such as ‘Tradies NFT’; utilising space on the Tradies Discord server to be able to have direct conversations with tradespeople, appealing for volunteers and sharing project updates.
“On The Tools have also pledged to donate 5% of all proceeds raised through the launch of their new community to Band of Builders, which we will use to help tradespeople and their families facing life-changing or limiting conditions with practical assistance.”
