Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, has launched the new Plumb Centre App, which is designed to help trade professionals find the parts they need.

The company said it has also increased the number of Parts Hubs nationwide to improve same-day availability in its 400+ branches. The merchant stated that it has enhanced its next-day delivery service to ensure customers get access to critical heating parts quickly and has increased its stock holding to make over 175,000 product lines available for the season.

The new Plumb Centre app, which is available to download on iOS and Android, has been created following considerable customer research and user testing.

According to a company statement, the app also offers a mobile optimised, user friendly experience for Plumb Pro, the new membership and rewards scheme launched by Plumb Centre earlier this year. Anyone signed up to PlumbPro membership can use the app to redeem their rewards and check their cashback, the statement added.

Tim Brennan, director of Digital at Wolseley said: “The launch of the Plumb Centre app is critical to supporting our customers on their digital journey. The app has been designed with our customers in mind, featuring vital benefits which will help them get the parts they need to finish their jobs on time. We’re always looking to invest in our digital capabilities and believe this one will really help our customers.”

Stuart Morton, director of Parts at Plumb Centre, added: “We know how important it is for our customers to be able to speedily identify and access parts when they’re on the job. And we know this gets ever more critical in heating season when they want to get the job done quickly, and help their customers stay warm. The App, in combination with operational improvements around distribution and availability, is designed to make it easier than ever for customers to get the part they need.”
