A plumber video-call app has been opened up for free as cold and wetter weather faced Brits in lockdown this week.
Clipfix will give consumers access to 15-minute video consultations with qualified plumbers to get plumbing issues fixed on the call at no cost.
Since lockdown was implemented by the government, inquiries to Clipfix have increased by over 400%, the company said, driven by many over 60s and at-risk categories.
PJ Luard, founder and CEO of Clipfix, said: “Brits are now stuck in their homes for 23 hours a day, so it’s more important than ever that our homes are working as they should. At a time when most people understandably do not want strangers into their homes – and many can’t afford the call out fee – the nation should be empowered to fix any issues in their home themselves, which will also give them peace of mind they can see to it themselves in the future.
“While some cases will be serious enough to require a plumber to visit your home, already having a diagnosis from an accredited plumber will help reduce costs, minimise in-person interaction during a time when we should all be isolating, and ultimately lessen unnecessary stress arising from uncertainty in these already uncertain times.”
The flat rate fee of £15 for 15 minutes will be waived for consumers until 31 May 2020 using the code STAYATHOME2020.
