Leeds-based boiler manufacturer, Ravenheat, along with Gas Safe Registered engineers from up and down the country, have come together with local installer and owner of CCH Leeds, Allen Hart, in a bid to raise money for The Candlelighters Trust charity.
This charity donates hundreds of thousands of pounds for research into children’s cancer each year, as well as providing practical and emotional support for families of children suffering from cancer.
In order to raise funds, Allen has been offering free boiler installs and servicing for customers in return for a donation to his chosen charity.
Recently passing his target of £25,000, Allen began providing charity installs in memory of his daughter, Laura Hart, who sadly lost her battle with a rare form of cancer in 2007, aged just three years old.
However, in order to be able to complete these charity installs, Allen relies on boiler and ‘parts’ donations from manufacturers and time from local installers.
On his latest install, Allen approached Ravenheat to supply a boiler. The company donated Allen a WH90 combi boiler for the seven-radiator system; and the company’s technical service manager, John Wilson, also provided the radiators that were needed to complete the project.
Allen said: “I’d like to thank Ravenheat for donating the boiler and for its ongoing support to The Candlelighters Trust. It’s not the first time it has donated to our charity installs and without its help, this wouldn’t have been possible.”
