Building on the Refurb by Screwfix service, a wide range of refurbished water products will be available to purchase on Screwfix.com from this week.
Following a recent £1m investment into Refurb by Screwfix, the omni-channel retailer has created a bespoke refurbishment and distribution site where taps, showers and pressure washers are inspected and tested by technicians before being prepared for re-sale or recycling on Screwfix.com.
Since launching in 2021, almost 400,000 products have been given a new lease of life via the Refurb by Screwfix service.
The refurbished water products available via the service include a variety of corded pressure washers, basin mixers, commercial taps, mixer showers and shower valves covering a range of leading and trusted brands such as Swirl and Titan.
Olivia Green, sustainability manager at Screwfix, said: “At Screwfix we strive to supply the trade with great quality products that last. But as customers return unwanted or pre-loved products, where possible, we want to extend their usable life rather than recycling them. This is not only good for our customers, with cheaper products available with a 1-year guarantee, but it also reduces waste.
“This further investment into the Refurb by Screwfix service allows us to build on the existing range with refurbished and in-demand water products. By helping to keep even more products in use for longer, we can also help more tradespeople get their jobs done quickly, affordably, right first time and more sustainably.”
