Leading HVAC product manufacturer, Rinnai, has recently completed a Charity Walk for the John Holt Cancer Support Foundation.
Almost all Rinnai staff were involved in the event which followed the Sandstone Trail through Delamere Forest and finishing at Frodsham in Cheshire. The event raised a significant amount for the charity, which has a special significance for one member of the Rinnai staff, Paul Shelbourne.
“I was delighted to take part,” said Paul, “as it obviously meant a lot to me and I hope to be involved in more fund raising activities for the charity. Almost everyone gets affected by cancer – we all know someone who has lost relatives and friends, so the more we can help the quicker we can, hopefully, beat this awful disease.”
Rinnai stages a major charity event every year as part of its own corporate responsibility charter. The company is the UK’s foremost manufacturing supplier of hot water systems for all commercial, institutional and domestic sites with a comprehensive range of continuous flow gas fired appliances – plus a full range of ancillary products such as flues, controls and bespoke systems.
Rinnai managing director, Tony Gittings, said: “We see events such as this as being an essential part of our responsibility and Rinnai will be taking part in many more in the years to come. It was heartening to see all staff readily volunteer to help and participate in this fund raising event and I would like to thank all of those who made their very generous and welcome donations.”
