Having started its life as Steel Radiators Limited back in 1936, Stelrad is now celebrating its 80th birthday.
Once operating from a purpose built factory in West London, its facilities are now based both in Nuth, Netherlands and in Mexborough, UK. Its South Yorkshire site handles the UK radiators business, coordinating a production and distribution operation that spans a major 17 acre site. Stelrad produces more than two million radiators each year for the UK heating sector.
Stelrad’s marketing manager, Chris Harvey, said: “It’s quite an achievement to be at the top of your game for 80 years. Today’s Stelrad is a very different animal to the one that started its business back in the 1930s, but many of the values we hold to remain the same, and we are proud of the quality of the products we produce, the availability of our products across the UK and the wide range of options we can offer the marketplace.”
