Stiebel Eltron has stated that its supply chain is set to be further strengthened throughout 2024 as heat pump production has begun at the company’s Höxter facility in Germany.
Stiebel Eltron took over the former DMA mechanical engineering factory in the industrial area of the town at the end of 2022.
Following work to renovate the building, Stiebel Eltron opened the first heat pump production line this month, with a second and third set to follow.
Mark McManus, Stiebel Eltron UK’s managing director, said: “With production beginning, the supply of heat pumps in the UK will only be strengthened moving into the new year.”
Currently serviced by 50 employees, Stiebel Eltron is planning to grow the Höxter operations to 300 workers in the near future.
Mark added: “Moving into 2024 a key ambition of ours is to further bolster the UK’s heat pump market by providing the most innovative technologies, as well as the expertise which will see them implemented effectively.
“The new production line in Höxter will provide fantastic support in seeing us achieve this as it adds a robustness to our supply chain and increases our ability to meet demand.
“2023 has been an incredibly strong year for the company, but 2024 is set to be even better as the company goes from strength to strength. Everyone at Stiebel Eltron is excited to continue the company’s great work in accelerating the adoption of heat pumps across the UK and the globe in the coming year.”
