Exeter-based Ridgespear Group has launched a new joint venture to provide expertise in the supply and development of heating controls.
Supported by the resources of the Ridgespear group, Whisper Controls Limted will have its own dedicated technical and sales team, initially focused on securing business with the heating installers and housebuilders who already work with Ridgespear’s OMNIE, Bauserv and CircofloPro brands.
Whisper Controls managing director Jon Arntsen, pictured, said: “The creation of Whisper Controls means that Ridgespear now has strong expertise of electronic control systems. We are developing our product range through a rigorous testing process to ensure we offer customers enhanced functionality and performance along with real peace of mind.
“The compatibility will be assured and commissioning will be simpler for new and existing customers, buying an integrated system from one manufacturer will result in greater energy efficiency. A more focused and agile offering will also mean the group can offer equivalent or enhanced controls – including new generation thermostats – at competitive prices and importantly, the ‘future benefit’ story will be spelt out more clearly to the marketplace.”
In addition to stocking some of the existing products already available from OMNIE and its sister companies, WCL will be involved in bringing forward new controls and apps, including an Opentherm enabled thermostat.
There will also be a universal digital app which will work across a full range of emitters including UFH circuits, panel radiators with electronic TRVs and wall thermostats managing either whole or part-house heating systems, a statement added.
