Wolseley Group announced that it is staging a series of Future Energy Transition events across the UK over the next three months.
According to a statement, the events are aimed at helping professional installers to understand the multitude of more sustainable plumbing and heating options available and the considerations around applying new technologies. There will also be up to 20 equipment suppliers at the early evening events.
As part of the UK’s wider energy transition, there is growing appetite among UK householders to move to more sustainable forms of home heating and plumbing. However, according to a survey for Wolseley, three in five households do not feel that they know enough about the low carbon energy options available to them.
The events are focused on the advisory, technical, and propositional angle of low carbon heating solutions with the aim of outlining the opportunities that the UK’s energy transition will create for installers. The events include interactive and educational sessions on topics such as legislation, training, and technology selection, as well as presentations and Q&A sessions featuring industry experts and insiders. The events run from 5pm to 8pm.
Nick Coad, head of ESG at Wolseley Group, said: “Our sector is always busy meeting demand from householders, so taking the latest technology and solutions on the road is an important way to increase not only awareness but understanding of what the best options for different types of UK home now are.”
