Jen Cassidy is to become Bristan Group’s CEO from 1 January 2025, as Martin Mongan, the company’s current CEO, has announced his intention to retire from his role at the end of the year.
Jen is to be working closely with Martin over the next nine months to transition into the role.
She joined Bristan as chief marketing officer in August 2021 following a career that includes senior roles with Wolseley, Kohler Mira and Linn Products. According to a company statement, she has been instrumental in providing leadership across a broad range of functional areas, from brand and channel marketing to product design and management, sales, customer service, IT and PMO.
Jen’s ability to effectively lead and inspire cross-functional teams has consistently resulted in improved team performance and business outcomes, a statement said.
Martin said: “I am delighted to be able to hand over my role to Jen and look forward to working alongside her for the next few months as she transitions into role. The powerful message it sends, not only promoting from within the business, but also that Bristan Group has its first female CEO is a legacy I am extremely proud of.”
Jen added: “Having fallen in love with Bristan Group and its extremely talented people from the moment I joined, I am honoured to be given the opportunity to lead the business, to build on Martin’s work and to continue to deliver on the company’s strategic roadmap.”
Jai Shah, group president at Masco Corporation, said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Martin for the role he has played in Bristan Group’s development over several years. It has been a pleasure to work with him on successfully delivering the strategic plan and seeing the business develop under his leadership.
“I am very excited to support Jen’s appointment as CEO and am confident she is the right person to lead the team on the next exciting stage of Bristan Group’s journey.”
