JTL has appointed Paul McGuire as its new finance and professional services director, reporting to JTL chief executive Jon Graham. In addition Paul will also be the director of JT Ltd – trading as Compex, a trading subsidiary of JTL.
Paul’s last role was chief operating and financial officer for the Skills Funding Agency, where he was responsible for financial management of the £4.5 billion skills budget, along with other operational and professional services. Paul is a qualified accountant with 25 years’ experience in finance across both the private and public sectors, including ten years in the apprenticeships and skills sector.
Paul McGuire, said: I decided, that after ten years working in government on the apprenticeships and skills agenda, it was time for a new challenge and this opportunity to join JTL ticked all the boxes. JTL is a strong and successful business, that delivers high quality apprenticeships and is rich with potential. I am joining at a fascinating point in time in the apprenticeship market, with the launch of Trailblazers to be closely followed by the Levy, and I am really looking forward to working with Jon and being a part of JTL’s future.”
Chief executive, Jon Graham, added: These are exciting times for JTL and one year on from my own appointment it was a good time for me to bring in new senior management with considerable experience of the wider skills market and a fresh perspective on the opportunities for JTL. Paul is the perfect fit for this.”
